Review HP Scanjet 5590 Digital Flatbed Scanner (L1910A)

I have been using Primo PDF in converting any documents into PDF and it works really great but for my hard copy scanning I use my Scanjet 5590 Scanner.

What is my HP Scanjet 5590 Scanner Specification?

A flatbed scanner with document feeder with

with it’s Task speed – Less than 24 sec: 4 x 6-in color photo into ; less than 36 sec: OCR a full page of text into ; less than 18 sec: e-mail photo

What is My experience using this Machine?

I may say that this scanner is really good. It has a feature of having a scan output with Microsoft Word and PDF. Although I am not yet successful in scanning Documents with pictures into Microsoft Word. What I mean is having a very good result that all pictures and text is in order after scanning.

If I am scanning about 30 pages I prefer to scan it as picture and not having and editable Text.

The scanner is using its own program called HP Director. The HP Director will ask you on what type of document will you scan and what will be the resulting documents after scan. It is either PDF or Microsoft Word.

You could scan Camera Films using this machine.

The document feeder works great when scanning multiple pages.

A also like it’s one touch button to scan for filing, Scan Picture,Scan to email and scan to PDF.

Do I have any Problems encountered?

It is very slow if you will scanned a text documents by using OCR. Aside from the problem mentioned there is nothing to share.

Conclusion

I suggest you to buy this scanner if you are planning to buy one. A good investment.

Say the Time

It is always my problem on rearranging my time, Doing lots of meeting and commitments inside and outside the office and open times there are some meeting and To do Notes missed. Although I am using my for those purpose sometime I am still missing it.

So perhaps a reminder on my Desktop which occupies my time almost 8 to 12 hours a day will be the next good thing to have.

I have been very busy this past few days that is why I was not able to blog often and thanks to talking atomic alarm clock which is one of my to manage my time.

I have outlook which have that same features but still the skin of outlook is dull. and with a very limited features. Not unlike talking atomic alarm clock you can have different skins. While Say the Time is installed at my computer I can easily see the Time and date at right corner of my screen.

The interface on its setting is very easy that a novice could easily understand on how the program works. And since I am dealing with International contact knowing the time on their place is an advantage for me.  That is why the world time Clock feature on of the feature which will be very helpful to the user.

In conclusion having this tool in your computer is a must have feature. Did I tell you that this is a sponsored post? Well It is but as what I have told on the review this is a great tool and I intend to retain this post in the archive.

Converting any Computer Generated Documents into PDF

Most of the time you are being required to make PDF files output of your work. But what if you don’t have an in your computer. An option will be to print it in a printer and they will scan it in a scanner.

I may suggest that a very good for office or at home is the Primo PDF. This is a free software that could be downloaded here . Primo PDF converts any Computer generated documents into a PDF format file.

This tool could also be used in printing file Autocad or any other program. It will serves as your printer but the only difference is it will gives a pdf output.

I am doing this review not because they pay me to do so but as a way of thank you for helping me in doing my job well done.

Below is download.com definition of Primo PDF.

PrimoPDF is a free tool for high-quality PDF creation, comprising a user-friendly interface that enables printing to PDF from virtually any Windows application. Additionally, PrimoPDF provides the ability to optimize PDF output for screen, print, ebook, and prepress, secure PDF files with 40- or 128-bit encryption, and add document information (e.g. title, author, subject, keywords) to converted PDF files. Full support for 64-bit machines, double byte character and non-TrueType font support, enhanced support for Windows 98, ME, NT, and Vista and improved PDF output also now available. Please note that this download is for 32-bit machines only. A 64-bit installer is available at the developer’s Web site.

Version 3.1 introduces the ability to merge and append PDF files.

Comparing speed of converting Word or document to PDF vs Adobe , I will go with Primo as per my experience it is much faster to convert thru Primo rather than from Adobe. I am using Adobe 7.1 Professional.

In Conclusion having this tool is a must to have in your computer. I just hope this tool will my readers. What about you do you have any other program being use for this type of application? Let us know by your comments.
