The <a href="http://www.techathand.us/tag/dell/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Dell">Dell</a> XPS 625 desktop PC supports the so called AMD Dragon platform. </p>
<p>That means the PC has the newly released AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition processor alongside two ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics cards in CrossFire mode. AMD&#8217;s own OverDrive program also allows for overcloking the processor as well. Pricing for the new XPS 625 PC starts at $999 and it&#8217;s available now on Dell&#8217;s web site.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>About 100,000 <a href="http://www.techathand.us/tag/sony/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Sony">Sony</a> Lithium-Ion batteries used in Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and <a href="http://www.techathand.us/tag/dell/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Dell">Dell</a> notebooks have been recalled. 35,000 batteries of these batteries were sold in the US.</p>
<p>Some details about these batteries:</p>
<ul>
<li>They were sold at the same time as the batteries involved in the <a href="http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=65">widescale</a> <a href="http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=66">2006</a> <a href="http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=74">Sony</a> battery recall. </li>
<li>These batteries can “overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.” </li>
<li>The damage so far: “There have been 19 reports of the batteries overheating, including 17 reports of flames/fire (10 resulting in minor property damage). Two consumers experienced minor burns.” </li>
<li>Affected system include:      <br />- <strong><a href="http://www.techathand.us/tag/hp/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with HP">HP</a></strong> (accounting for some 32,000 of the 35,000 sold in the US)       <br />HP Pavilion: dv1000, dv8000 and zd8000       <br />Compaq Presario: v2000 and v2400       <br />HP Compaq: nc6110, nc6120, nc6140, nc6220, nc6230,       <br />nx4800, nx4820, nx6110, nx6120, nx9600       <br />- <strong>Toshiba</strong> (about 3,000)       <br />Satellite: A70/A75, P30/P5, M30X/M35X, M50/M55       <br />Tecra: A3, A5, S2       <br />- <strong>Dell</strong> (about 150)       <br />Latitude: 110L       <br />Inspiron: 1100, 1150, 5100, 5150, 5160 </li>
