If you receive a phone call on your Mobile from any person saying that they are checking your mobile line, and you have to press #90 or #09 or any other number. End this call immediately without pressing any numbers. Friends there is a fraud company using a device that once you press #90 or #09 they can access your SIM card and make calls at your expense. Forward this message to as many friends as u can, to stop it. This information has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are over 3 million affected mobile phones. Nokia Touch Screen Mobile on It’s Way

You can now expect Touch Screen phone from Nokia. But I believe they will still used the Symbian OS and will not use the Windows Mobiles as like other touch screen Manfufacturer is using.

Nokia have also told At a recent Nokia event held in New Delhi, Devinder Kishore (the director of marketing for Nokia India) was quoted as saying that “We will have lots of touchscreen phones coming up, including an N-series device very soon.” Granted, it’s not at all shocking to hear that the engineers in Espoo are already conjuring up touch-friendly N-series handsets, but at least you know there’s a fingertip-lovin’ Nokia coming for you.

The Coming of N96 and iPhone Killer

Here comes the N96, The N96 is not designed to replace the N95. However, it’s main goal is to bring everything that was good in the N95 and add a few extras such as mobile TV. And in reality this is also Nokia’s reponse to Iphone. The N96 has a 2.8″ QVGA screen which runs at a resolution of 240 x 320 and can display up to 16 million colours. 16GB of internal memory is packed inside with the ability to use microSD which allows a further 8Gb of expansion.

iPhone lack of 3G their disadvantage

Since we are now in a Modern age where everybody has a cellphone we might as well talk about iPhone , almost every mobile company is in discussion with apple about the iPhone lack of 3G support.

Most of the telephone networks all over the world including Philippines, Middle East, USA, Europe and others had spend Million of dollars just to be upgraded in 3G. I thick the lack of 3G Support from iPhone is their disadvantage but rather an advantage to other Telephone Manufacturer like Nokia, Siemens, I-mate, O2 and others.

If I will choose in between my I-mate and iPhone I might as well remain to my phone since iPhone will not give me an advantage over the latest technology in mobile.

Last month I bought my Nokia 2626 so that I have a phone to be used for Smart Roaming Purpose. Yup that’s right I am using 2 phone, one is I-mate PDAL and other one is Nokia 2626. I have decided to buy this Phone so that my relatives could easily contact me by paying the same rate that they are paying when they send messages to anyone in the Philippines. That will be equal to PHP 1 not unlike if they will try to send message at my International Number it will cost them PHP 15.

And Now here is my Review:

I recommend this phone to other Filipinos around the world who is looking for a cheap Nokia phone that will serve it’s purpose. It can also be use as a POP mail receiver if your network allows it.It can also be used in Internet. I bought this in a very cheap price of US$ 59. I is also very handy and has a nice color. By the way my phone color is Spatial Blue. I just can’t get other picture with my that color that is why I used pink in the pic.

I-mate PDAL Technical Review

I just had an i-mate PDAL 2 mos ago and here is my review for it.

Cellphone

As a phone I may say that i-mate PDAL is not really good compared to Nokia Cellphone Since sometimes I am having a hard time to hear what others person is saying. It is sometimes hard to stop or hung up the phone.

PDA

I think as a PDA, i-mate PDAL is great in my 2 mos of usage it hungs only once, during my early usage of this phone. I have installed my bible thru e-sword site and it performs ok.

Office Tools

I have some problem with its excel since whenever I work with excel and tried to edit my previous work I have to rename and save us the document or else if you save it on the same documents it will tell you an error.

Alarm Clock

I may say that this is not design as an alarm clock since the sound is very low while alarming

Internet Usage

You can use it thru Internet but the problem you have to use the built in explorer or else you have to purchase Opera mini but in comparison with Nokia, Windows mobile phone is much more like a deskstop.

If you are subscribe in the Internet which is being paid per kb, this is not advisable but if you are using the net that is being payed per hour I think this is perfect.

The best thing here is you can also use thru Wi Fi connection.

Reminder

This is a very good tool for reminding since the next reminder even if it is before 3 days you can see the list and keep on reminding you what to do.

Battery

The battery is ok,It may stand till 3 days if you are not using heavily. But if you will use it on a heavy usage It will only last a day. The best thing here is the data is not being lost when the battery is drain not unlike other PDA where when the battery is out the data is out also.

Sound

If you will by this just to here music, I recommend no to buy, The sound system is not that sophisticated not like Nokia.

Email

You can view your office email and gmail thru this phone using POP3. I will post later how you could do it.

In general I may say that this phone is perfect for business purpose but if you are looking for a phone for pleasure purpose, you will just waist your money buying i-mate PDAL I suggest by a NOKIA brand model.

This is the review that I could share to you. I am using the i-mate PDAL for about 2 mos and I am satisfied in General on Its perfromance. This is not a paid review.

Thanks to google that I found Opera Mini for my Nokia 3230. As describe on their site it is capable of Getting RSS Feeds on your Mobile Phone, It can do Point, snap, publish and it is user’s friendy. it has also some other features as describe on the site

Chatting via Cellphone

I want to share you some application which I am using to chat with Yahoo and MSN via my Nokia3230 mobile. Just try to access http://wap.mig33.com, and download the Mobile Application.

Here are the simple step to access and Install mig33 on your mobile:

Step 1 : Make sure your mobile phone is capable of web browsing
Step 2 : Enroll your mobile phone to your service provider to Mobile Internet ( if you are in Saudi and using Al Jawal – Type “NET” in message and send to 2222 )
Step 3 : Surf and go to http://wap.mig33.com using your Mobile Internet
Step 4 : Then Download the mig33 installer
Step 5 : accept the installation even it is unverified
Step 6 : After installation go to the Program list on your menu and try to look for mig33 application
Step 7 : Then it will ask you to register if you have pre registered on their site http://www.mig33.com from your computer you can use this log in details in your mobile if not you have to register.
Step 8 : When ever you are already log in just press menu and change the setting of IM ( Instant Messaging ). Put your login details for yahoo and then presto you can now chat using your mobile. In Saudi Arabia the charge is based on Kilo bites (KB) Sent.

I hope you can get it. My wife and I is enjoying chatting with our relatives and friends because it’s convenient to use our Cellphone than to open the computer. That is only my opinion.
